Community Defender Training Day
Dates: October 24th
Start Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Location: Spanish Fork, Utah
Presented by Tactical Cowboy Training Solutions
Pistol Fundamentals + Stop the Bleed Basics
Tactical Cowboy Training Solutions is proud to provide this training day at no cost to the CenterPoint Church Security Team.
At Tactical Cowboy, we believe strongly in being defenders of our families, our churches, and our communities. The men and women who volunteer to protect a congregation accept an important responsibility, and we want to do everything we can to help ensure they have the training, confidence, and practical skills necessary to fulfill that responsibility.
This first training day will establish a foundation in two critical areas: pistol fundamentals and lifesaving medical skills.
Our goal is not for this to be a one-time event. We want to continue building upon these fundamentals through future training opportunities, giving every member of the CenterPoint security team the opportunity to develop their abilities over time.
As that training progresses, our goal is to help create security members who are safe, competent, confident, and capable of protecting and caring for the people around them when it matters most.
TRAINING FOCUS
Pistol Fundamentals
The firearms portion of the day will focus on building and reinforcing the fundamentals required for safe, responsible pistol handling.
Training will include:
Firearms safety and responsible weapon handling
Pistol setup and equipment considerations
Grip, stance, sights, and trigger control
Presentation of the pistol from the holster
Marksmanship fundamentals
Building consistency through quality repetition
Applying foundational skills with accountability
Whenever practical, we want security members training with the same pistol, holster, and equipment they actually carry while serving at church.
Stop the Bleed Basics
The medical portion will introduce fundamental skills for responding to severe bleeding and traumatic injuries during the critical minutes before professional medical personnel arrive.
The emphasis will be on recognizing life-threatening bleeding, taking immediate action, and becoming comfortable with basic lifesaving interventions.
Our philosophy is simple: if you're willing to protect people, you should also be prepared to save them.

THE MISSION
This training day represents the beginning of what we hope will become an ongoing relationship between Tactical Cowboy and the CenterPoint Church Security Team.
Pistol fundamentals and basic trauma care are only the starting point.
As we continue training together, our goal is to progressively develop the skills, decision-making, communication, teamwork, and confidence necessary for security members to better protect their congregation and respond effectively during emergencies.
These skills require more than a single day of training. They require quality instruction, repetition, continued practice, and a commitment to improvement.
Tactical Cowboy is passionate about supporting the people who voluntarily step forward to protect others. We're honored to invest our time and experience into the men and women serving the CenterPoint community.
Protect. Provide. Perform.

Reviews
Steve - I began as a novice gun owner a few years ago. Last year I was smart enough to find Devin. He's a superb instructor in so many ways. He instills self confidence by focusing on the positive aspects of what I'm doing. He's a gifted instructor in that he also points out aspects of my shooting that can be improved or need correction. Yet he does so in a way that inspires me to strive higher rather than simply finding fault. Without exception for the past year throughout my many sessions with him I have improved my handgun skills send knowledge. Learn from the best. Devin is awesome- the way we used to use that word!
Gordon - I’ve grown up around guns, never in my wildest dreams would I imagine how informative a class like this would be! The TCTS crew couldn’t be more amazing. Their open and welcoming demeanor really brings you into the environment. I had folks of all walks in my class. The mentor first mentality really shined through in the 1:2 instructor student ratio so they could curtail training to the individual not just the class! No “tacticool” attitudes at all! I can’t stress how welcoming they are. At the end of the class not only had I improved but it was glaringly obvious the whole group had too. I’ve already signed up for my next class. 11/10 would recommend!
Joe - If you want to learn building blocks to be an expert in using your gun and protecting yourself and family… look no further than the Tactical Cowboy crew. Total killers in providing a great program (I recommend the 1:1 lessons as well)
Geoff - More important than how nice your gun is or how many rounds you have is knowing how to use them! Devin taught us not only how to properly them but also how to use them in scenarios of self defense and home invasion. Spend your money on the best training!
Jacob - Devin is an excellent instructor! He approaches the client at their level of expertise and attempts to push their skills to make them a better shooter. I learned multiple techniques that have helped me improve my gun handling skills and look forward to training with him again.
