Tommy - It's not everyday that I get to larp in full-kit and learn from two Army Rangers and a Green Beret. We spent a couple days off the grid learning about small unit tactics, land nav, and how to execute recon/assault missions in mountainous terrain. We learned how to conduct small missions with a 7-man squad while dodging surveillance drones, and patrols on ATVs. It was the coolest training that I've ever been a part of. Thanks so much @tacticalcowboy01 for taking the time to impart knowledge to your fellow countrymen and thanks to @springcreekmachine for allowing us to get lost on your beautiful land. Gi - Over two days, the TCTS team brought me from zero medical training or experience to genuine understanding and confidence identifying and triaging life threatening injuries.
S - As is always the case with TCTS, the ratio of mentors to students meant individual attention and real time feedback while working through scenarios. Most importantly, throughout the course Devin, Jameson, and Nik built the students up not just through rote skills and memorization, but challenged us with various forms of problem solving and external stressors to ensure we developed the confidence to think critically in assessing and addressing the situation. Whether starting from zero, or just looking to stay current, I think anyone who wants to be more confident and capable of handling life threatening injuries ought to attend Emergency Medical Lvl 1 & 2 with TCTS!
Chris - I've attended a few of tactical cowboy's training courses recently and couldn't have asked for a better environment! From the direction and training to the personable feel these guys are second to none. They have pushed my limits on all fronts and make it seem effortless. I would recommend any caliber marksman come and train with them and i guarantee you will take a wealth of knowledge away with it.

I completed my first CQB course with them and it was extremely well thought out and structured in a way for you to gain a firm understanding of the fundamentals before jumping right into scenarios. Nik Lee - I am an Army Combat Medic and have taken multiple firearm training classes. Nothing compares with the quality of instruction I received from Tactical Cowboy. My brother and I did a 4 hour personal training session. Everything was tailored specifically to our needs and up to our level of proficiency. The instructors were warm and friendly and did a great job of coaching us. There is no doubt that the instructors are among the most skilled at their trade in the world. It was an absolute privilege to train with them. I learned more about marksmanship and tactics in 4 hours with them than I have my entire time in the military
Victoria - I am a 50 year old woman who has just purchased her first firearm. I’ve shot a gun approximately 10 times prior to my lesson. I lacked knowledge and confidence so before I made the decision to have ammo in my home I needed someone to teach me what I didn’t know, which is a lot. Will was my instructor. He is a mountain of a man I must say but dispute his intimidating physical appearance he was kind and patient. He taught me grip and stance and worked with me on my trigger pull. He explained the sights and how to use them. He explained what “bring it to the wall” meant and how it affected everything I was doing. He was knowledgeable, supportive and professional. I signed up for 2 hours. I didn’t miss the paper once! By the end of my session I had a tight group of 4 head shots in 9.77 seconds from 7 yards. To many, this may be nothing. But to me, it was everything. Will can shoot five bullets practically in the same hole in 2. Something seconds. It’s very impressive ! He worked with me on expecting the recoil but “letting it surprise me” and being confident that my stance and grip were solid and that even though there was recoil, I was in control of the gun, it wasn’t in control of me. I’m so glad that he was my first instructor and he will forever be a part of my shooting experience. I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs to learn proper gun control and shooting fundamentals. Thank you Will!
Kortney - Honestly, there aren’t enough good things to say about Devin. He’s so knowledgeable, kind, genuine, and you can tell he legitimately cares about your progress and making sure you get the best training possible during your time with him. He had a great balance of being professional and keeping things lighthearted and fun while trying to get to know you personally, but also learning what your own goals were. I could not recommend him more! Whether you’re new to firearms and want an introduction, or if you’re looking to brush up your skills from past training. It doesn’t matter what level you may be, I would say he needs to be your go-to. Absolutely phenomenal.
Dave - I took both Levels 1 & 2 of the emergency medical training from Tactical Cowboy. Great classes! MARCHE is covered in great detail and drilled into you. You'll learn how to find wounds, how to treat them, you'll learn how to pack a wound, and you'll get practice doing it. You'll even learn how to suture. And the final test putting it all together... it's the most stressful test I've ever been through in my life.
Jace - I haven't been able to train as much as I'd like the last 6 months. I went into the training feeling super rusty but Devin tuned me back into a good rhythm in a very short amount of time! We found what my deficiencies were and he helped me work on them. Its very apparent Devin knows what he's doing. His ability to share his knowledge in easy to understand terms was very helpful. My biggest take away from the Tactical Cowboy Training experience was the positive environment where everyone is pushing each other. %100 recommend to anyone at any skill level.

Jason - I appreciate Devin’s approach to instruction, that is, he and his team take on more of a mentor roll vs an instructor roll. I completed a ‘stop the bleed’ medical class that Devin welcomed two highly qualified subject matter experts to lead the conversation and hands-on learning. It was very informative and I will be back with family and friends to not only medical instruction, but look forward to doing some tactical move & shoot training with Devin in the future as well. Highly recommended training outfit.
Will - Devin is absolutely squared away! He’s great to work with and breaks things down in easy to follow steps. I went in looking to acquire my red dot on my pistol faster on my draw, and within the first 15 minutes or so I was doing just that. And better yet I was able to have better recoil control and track the dot between shots as well leading to faster follow up shots. I look forward to going back and learning more from him as well as build on the foundation we set in this first meeting! Thanks again for the great class Devin! You’re a great mentor and example!
JD - I appreciate the approach Devin takes with his training and mentoring. I've taken some one on one and group sessions with Devin. The beginning always starts with some safety reviews and what to do if something goes terribly wrong. The one on one time is very individualized. He was able to get a baseline of where I was starting from and catered the training for what I wanted to specifically accomplish. He definitely approaches the training as a mentor, sharing his experiences and what's working well for him in real life situations, all with the purpose of building the skills and confidence. The group sessions were a blast! They not only focused on the individual fundamentals of manipulating our firearms, but then how to work together and how to communicate. I am planning on continuing to take part in the courses offered and look forward to continuing to improve my skills with the drills I can do on my own.

Justin - Devin Soto is very knowledgeable and experienced in what he teaches. He takes his time and gives very clear instructions on different Scenarios that you practice. he has trained myself and my 16 year old son and he never made us feel any thing but at ease. When working with my son he was able to adapt and help him improve in my sons technique and give him confidence in the handling of the different firearms we trained with. He is a very easy going man that makes you feel like a friend and puts your own doubts at ease. He is very safety oriented and is always thinking of ways to help improve your success on defense and safe handling of the weapons. He put alot of time and effort into planning what we were training and never seemed to rush us on anything. I would recommend tactical cowboy training to anyone that wants a knowledgeable easy going environment to work on improving their self defense and all around weapons training.

Steve - I began as a novice gun owner a few years ago. Last year I was smart enough to find Devin. He's a superb instructor in so many ways. He instills self confidence by focusing on the positive aspects of what I'm doing. He's a gifted instructor in that he also points out aspects of my shooting that can be improved or need correction. Yet he does so in a way that inspires me to strive higher rather than simply finding fault. Without exception for the past year throughout my many sessions with him I have improved my handgun skills send knowledge. Learn from the best. Devin is awesome- the way we used to use that word!
